Your day will be enriched by the breathtaking scenery that Ngorongoro Crater has to offer.

After breakfast at a lodge in the morning, your Social Adventure Safari guide will meet you for a briefing, followed by a 2-hour and 30-minute drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater. You will leave with packed lunch in order to spend more time on the game drive. When you arrive at Loduare gate, you will check in and drive a short distance until you reach the crater rim, where you will begin to see incredible scenery. You will descend the crater to over 600 meters, following the adventurous trails into the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro Crater, to explore its beauty.

Many Tanzanian parks make seeing all five of the big five a game of chance, but if you’re lucky, Ngorongoro Crater will reward you with the opportunity to see all five in a single day. Other animals besides the big five that Ngorongoro offers include elands, hartebeests, zebras, and wildebeests. One of the crater’s main features, Lake Magadi, will reward you with views of hippo, flamingos, and other water life. You will have your picnic lunch at the hippo pool while admiring the crater’s beauty. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife than you saw in the morning.

After the game drive, you will ascend and drive back to Arusha.
