Your day begins after breakfast at a lodge, when your Social Adventure Safari guide will meet you for a briefing, followed by a 45-minute drive from Arusha town to Arusha National Park. If the weather is clear, you can get a close-up view of Mount Meru as well as Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for its black and white Colobus monkeys, but you may also see giraffes, Cape buffalo, zebra, warthog, flamingo, elephant, bushbuck, and other African wildlife. Ostriches, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, grouse and allies, flamingos, grebes, pigeons and doves, and turacos are among the bird species found.

When you arrive at the park’s entrance, you will check in and begin your morning game drives in search of animals and other park attractions.

In the afternoon, you will drive to a picnic site near Momella Lakes for a picnic lunch; the lake is home to hundreds of flamingos and is ideal for canoeing. If time allows, you may choose to go on an afternoon game drive after lunch to look for wildlife that you did not see in the morning. You could also go on a canoeing safari at Momella Lakes to see wildlife up close.

After the game drive, you will drive back to Arusha, along the way you will have a chance to see some of the local villages, and an opportunity to explore the city.
