Arrival Day – Welcome to Arusha!
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your Social Adventure Safari team.
Transfer to Mount Meru Hotel for an evening briefing and equipment check with your expert guide. Enjoy dinner and a restful night to prepare for your climb.
Accommodation: Mount Meru Hotel (Bed, Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 1: Arusha to Miriakamba Hut (2,650m)
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours | Distance: Approx. 8 km | Habitat: Rainforest and Montane Forest
Travel to Momella Gate for registration, then begin trekking through dense rainforest filled with vibrant birdlife and colobus monkeys. The trail gradually ascends to Miriakamba Hut where you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight rest.
Overnight: Miriakamba Hut
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (3,570m)
Hiking Time: 6-7 hours | Distance: Approx. 10 km | Habitat: Moorland and Alpine Zone
Ascend through moorland with views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the crater rim. The trail becomes steeper and rockier as you reach the high-altitude Saddle Hut. Afternoon rest and acclimatization help prepare you for the summit push.
Overnight: Saddle Hut
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Acclimatization & Summit Preparation at Saddle Hut
Spend an acclimatization day around Saddle Hut to adjust to the altitude. You may opt for a short hike in the area or simply rest and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery. This day helps boost your chances of a successful summit.
Overnight: Saddle Hut
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner


Day 4: Summit Day – Saddle Hut to Mount Meru Summit (4,566m) and Descent to Momella Gate
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours ascent, 4-5 hours descent | Distance: Approx. 14 km total | Habitat: Alpine and Montane Forest
Begin your early morning ascent to the summit, where breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro and the Rift Valley await. After celebrating your achievement, descend through moorland and forest to Momella Gate. Transfer back to Arusha for rest or onward travel.

Departure Day
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of your Kilimanjaro adventure with Social Adventure Safari.
