Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Tanzania / Transfer to Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania, an extraordinary country with unforgettable experiences. Welcome to Social Adventure Safari, the best option for travelers looking for once-in-a-lifetime memories. When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our Social Adventure Safari guide and transferred to a lodge in Arusha.Depending on your arrival time, you may catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro “The Roof of Africa” on your way to Arusha.

You will check into a lodge and have time to shower and rest before heading to the dining room for your first African meal. After dinner, feel free to use the WIFI, socialize with other guests, or enjoy a drink at the bar before retiring to your room for overnight in preparation for your Safari, which begins the next day.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Your Tanzania safari will begin today when you drive to Tarangire, a destination known for its large elephant herds. Tarangire is incredible! Your day begins with breakfast at a lodge, followed by a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Along the way to Tarangire, you will pass through some local villages, which will provide you with opportunities for learning and discovery. Feel free to ask your Safari guide to stop the car whenever you see something interesting and want to explore.

When you get to the park you will be welcomed by medieval baobab trees that dot the landscape and animals beneath it, these trees are believed to exist for centuries and are also referred to as “trees of life”. The park is well-known for its large population of elephants and tree climbing pythons. There is a large population of common wildlife as well as a few rare and localized species such as gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx.

Around afternoon, you will have lunch in one of the designated areas before continue searching for wildlife in other areas of the park. The park gets its name from the Tarangire River, which is the park’s main source of water, especially during the dry season. The river also serves as the best area for game drives because wildlife congregates there. After the game drive, you will enjoy a beautiful sunset as you drive to a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Village / Mto wa Mbu Cultural Excursions

Today is a fantastic day because you will meet with famous tribes to learn more about African traditions.

Your day begins with breakfast at a lodge, followed by a 15-minute drive to Maasai village. The Maasai are thought to be one of the most authentic tribes left in East Africa, able to keep their traditions alive. You will learn more about Maasai life, including daily activities such as milking cows, herding cattle, building or renovating houses, preparing traditional meals, and participating in traditional songs and dances.

You will leave Maasai Village in the afternoon and drive to Mto wa Mbu for a local lunch at one of the restaurants, giving you the opportunity to sample African local cuisine. Following lunch, you will have some free time before venturing on Mto wa Mbu cultural excursions. You will have the opportunity to interact with locals and learn more about their culture, meet artisans such as Makonde wood carvings, and take a biking tour around Mto wa mbu village. After such an unforgettable experience, you will drive to a Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Visit Hadzabe & Datoga Villages/ Elephant caves and Waterfalls

Have you heard about the bushmen? Today you will meet them and participate in their hunt. Your day begins with breakfast, followed by a drive to Hadzabe and Datoga Villages around Lake Eyasi for cultural experiences.

Your cultural journey begins with a visit to the Hadzabe people, East Africa’s last remaining hunter-gatherers who are always eager to share their hunting skills and culture with visitors. You will be able to go hunting, collect honey from beehives, and learn about their traditions, norms, and customs. Your visit will also include a visit to Datoga, where you will learn about their cultural practices. They are skilled and well-known for their blacksmithing abilities, as well as their brass bracelets and necklaces. Cattle are their most important domestic animals, though they also herd goats, donkeys, sheep, and raise chickens.

You will be transferred to a lodge in Karatu for lunch and rest in the afternoon.You will go on a 2-hour nature hike to Endoro Waterfall and Elephant Caves. The caves were formed many years ago when elephants hit the rocks in search of nutritious minerals because the rocks are high in calcium. Big holes from elephant rock hits remain, and the nearby community refers to them as “elephant caves.” Following the nature hike, you will return to a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Did you know that Ngorongoro Crater is the best place to see the Big Five? If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see it today. Your day begins with breakfast at a lodge, followed by a drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. You’ll make your way down this self-sustaining caldera, which is teeming with wildlife. You will explore the crater floor in search of wildlife, as this location is home to a wide range of wildlife species.

Lunch will be served in a specially designated picnic area, followed by a brief break. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife than you saw in the morning. You might see an elephant, a black rhino, a buffalo, a leopard, and a lion, as well as residents of Ngorongoro including elands, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and hartebeests.

You will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake that is one of the crater’s main features and is home to a large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water life.In the evening, you will ascend the crater and drive back to a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Game en Route Serengeti National Park

Spending a night in the Serengeti’s endless plains is a great way to discover its breathtaking views and gain new experiences during your stay in the African bush. Your day starts with a delicious breakfast and then a drive to Serengeti National Park. On the way to Serengeti, you will see incredible landscape views and wildlife encounters as you pass through Ngorongoro highland.

You will drive directly to a lodge, check in for lunch, and relax. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive to search for wildlife in the Seronera area. Serengeti is one of the world’s most iconic wildlife reserves, home to a wide range of wildlife species such as wildebeest, zebras, impalas, gazelles, lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, and others. Depending on your luck, you may be able to spot some of them during your game drive. In the evening, you’ll return to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

A full day game drive in the Serengeti is a better option for exploring more wildlife and the incredible landscape of this iconic destination. A day program begins with the opportunity to go on a balloon safari early in the morning; it is a classic experience and a better way to explore the Serengeti’s endless plains and wildlife from the sky. You will end your balloon safari with champagne and breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive around the Serengeti’s central area.

With luck, you will see a variety of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, impalas, gazelles, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You will have lunch with a great view of the park at one of the designated picnic sites before embarking on an afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife than you saw in the morning. You will return to a lodge for dinner and overnight after a successful day of game viewing.

Day 8: Fly to Zanzibar Island

Today, after a long drive and adventure, you will arrive in Zanzibar Island to refresh your mind and congratulate yourself on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar.Your day starts with a delicious breakfast at a lodge, followed by a transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar.

When you arrive in Zanzibar, you will be met and welcomed by a Social Adventure Safari representative then drive to a Lodge for lunch and a short break. You will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as walking tours of the city, diving excursions, and parasailing, to name a few. Zanzibar has the best restaurants, you may have dinner at one of them for a better taste of Zanzibar Swahili cuisine.

Day 9: Morning in Leisure/ Sunset Cruise

Today you will have the opportunity to explore Zanzibar’s northern beaches, which include the most impressive beaches, Nungwi and Kendwa. These beaches have white sand and crystal blue waters, making them ideal for a beach vacation. The north part of Zanzibar Island is the best destination because it has warm temperatures all year and offers the best beach experience.

In the evening, you will enjoy a spectacular sunset cruise on Nungwi Beach. Sunsets from a dhow are stunning and classic, providing a spectacular and unforgettable experience as you cruise along Zanzibar Island’s coast. You will drive to a lodge for dinner and overnight after such an unforgettable experience.

Day 10: Stone Town Tour

Your itinerary begins with a delicious breakfast followed by a tour of Stone Town, one of the oldest and most remarkable cities in the world, rich in history and culture. The city is the capital of the Zanzibar Sultanate and was famous for being the main center of spice and slave trade. You will learn a lot about this historical city, including the history of the Sultans, the culture of Zanzibar, the slave trade, and the culture of the real Swahili people, among other things.

The streets of this remarkable city are lined with restaurants serving a variety of local Swahili dishes, providing you with a better opportunity to sample delicious Swahili cuisine. After your exploration, you will return to a lodge for the night.

Day 11: Spice Tour

Today’s program is fantastic because you’ll learn where the term “Spice Island” comes from. This is an unforgettable tour and an excellent program for learning and discovery. After breakfast, you will make the journey to the Spice Plantations to learn about the history of spices in Zanzibar. The presence of spice plantations has made Zanzibar very popular because most spices were collected here and exported to other parts of the world; this is the main reason why Zanzibar Island was named Spice Island.

During the tour, you will learn about the diverse range of spices and tropical fruits available in Zanzibar. Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black peppers, roots gingers, vanilla sticks, lemongrass, nutmeg, and other spices will be sampled. You will see and taste tropical fruits such as jackfruit, breadfruit, pineapples, bananas, coconut mangos, and many more. You will also learn how spices are grown and used, such as how some are used as remedies, others as cosmetics, and so on. Following such an unforgettable tour, you will return to a lodge for leisure time, dinner, and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to the Airport/ Depart
